Why you no blog, Oliver? Why? Make me sad in pants.

Good evening Ladies and Gentlemen,

It seems like just the other day when we were all talking about [insert the name of the person you are saying farewell to]’s farewell as they move on to [insert a few specific details here].

I remember thinking that it would be hard to say goodbye … and I was right - it is hard.

Yet I consider myself fortunate to have met such a special person … a person that we care so much about … that it makes saying goodbye to him / her hard!

As we say goodbye, we remind ourselves that farewells are not forever, nor are they the end. They are simply words to say that we will miss you dearly and that we will remember you fondly.

Although we may be separated by time and distance in the interim, nothing will diminish the important role that you have and always will play in our lives.

We wish you happy adventures, fantastic new friendshipsamazingexperiences and the journey of a lifetime.

Richard Bach says, “Can miles truly separate you from friends? If you want to be with someone you love … aren’t you already there?”

And so it is … and always will be with you as we carry you always close to our hearts.

May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand - Irish Blessing

I once managed to (just about) suspend 2 toothpicks in my moustache; it was pretty rad. A really creative way to use 2 toothpicks, I feel.

Artist Scott Weaver has used 100’000 thousand to produce the most charming interactive sculpture I have ever seen. He could have saved himself a lot of hassle if he’d just been as inventive as me, but whatever.

Working on the reasonable assumption that my facebook news feed and the degenerates that populate it can be used as an indicator of national sentiment, then the nation appears to have popped a collective boner over Will & Kate: The Movie. This made for TV sensation combines a delightfully opportunistic release date with the finest acting talent outside of Hollywood and is bound to secure its place alongside Spice Girls in the history of cultural landmarks.

Sadly for Television X the internet appears to have finally reached buzz-saturation, for A Royal Romp the Will & Kate porno remains a relatively unknown entity, living a depraved existence in the badlands of the internet.

For better or worse I present this ‘super soft’ cut for one and all to enjoy. Come April 30th I for one will be finding my way to TVX to revel in the meeting of two Great British past times.

Four men, one judge, a field, Cumberland, England. They stand smoking their pipes; a contest of speed, behind a local shop. This is athleticism, this is culture, this is art.

Four hundred and one men and women, commenting on four men, one judge, a field, Cumberland, England, on the internet. They produce anachronistic comments about weed smoking and cancer; they debate pipe smoking theory and speculate about causes of death. This is idiocy, this is banality, this is the internet.

Thus I deny morality as I deny alchemy, that is, I deny their premises: but I do not deny that there have been alchemists who believed in these premises and acted in accordance with them. — I also deny immorality; not that countless people feel themselves to be immoral, but that there is any true reason so to feel. It goes without saying that I do not deny — unless I am a fool — that many actions called immoral ought to be avoided and resisted, or that many called moral ought to be done and encouraged — but I think the one should be encouraged and the other avoided for other reasons than hitherto. We have to learn to think differently — in order at last, perhaps very late on, to attain more: to feel differently.
